Update October 1, 2016

A BIG Thank You to Kay Johnson of Lanesboro!! She donated 3 large packs of Bounty paper towels, bags of Pupperoni, Beggin Strips dog treats, 4 cases of canned cat food, puppy training pads and baskets for our upcoming fundraiser! Way to go KAY!

BAKE SALE
October 1st was our WAHS Bake Sale. We would like to send out a big thanks to all who participated! Whether you donated baked goods or volunteered to work tables. A good time was had by all and we were able to raise $$ to help fund the care of all our furry friends! (Amount will be revealed next week!)

WTSA DONATIONS

If you are thinking about donating to the November 4th, “Affair for the Animals” silent auction, please consider helping us fill up some baskets. We have had some wonderful items graciously donated already. We could use any number of items such as: beer, wine, nuts, peanuts, chocolates, gourmet candy, sausages, crackers, pretzels, beer glasses, wine glasses, towels, sports items for kids’ baskets, candles, baby items, Thanksgiving items, pretty napkins, placemats, a hand mixer, kitchen utensils, the list goes on. All of these items will help us polish up the baskets. Just think of what you would enjoy seeing in a basket and go from there. Or, if you wish, you can create your own basket and drop it off.

If you want to help out, but can’t decide how, consider a monetary donation to our “Affair for the Animals” silent auction. Monetary donations allow us to purchase items for the baskets. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.

You can drop your donations off at the WAHS office or call 507-452-3135 and a volunteer would be happy to come and pick your contribution up. Thank you so much for your consideration. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated! Bobbi, May, Dede

Attention WAHS fans, our “I Would Cuddle You So Hard” t-shirts are now on sale for $10.00 each and our wristbands are 50% off. Stop in and stock up for friends, family, or yourself!

ATTENTION WAHS FANS & MEMBERS
Do you have questions, comments, or concerns regarding our facility? If so, you can email those to wahscomments@gmail.com. This is the official way to submit your comments. Please do not email individual board members. Board members and facility staff will review these comments and appropriate action will be taken if necessary.

HELPING IN A DIFFERENT WAY
The WAHS Wish List is available on amazon.com for those wishing to donate specific, much-needed supplies to WAHS. The Wish List is also available in our office and on our website in the Get Involved section.

Would you like to do your normal shopping AND help WAHS at the same time? Amazon Smile is a program offered by Amazon. When you make a purchase on Amazon, you can also make a donation. For more information go to http://smile.amazon.com/about.

Kwik Trip offers two ways for their customers to give back to the community. First, the Milk Moola program. If you buy and consume Kwik Trip bottled drinks (milk, orange juice, water, etc), Glazers donuts, and/or bagged milk/juice, cut off the top of the bag, save the cap or cut off the price label from the front of the glazers box and drop them off in the WAHS office. We can turn these in to Kwik Trip for a donation. Second, if you have a Kwik Card, you are able to set it up to send a percentage of your purchases to WAHS.

The smartphone app WoofTrax also will donate to WAHS each time you walk while using the app!

PAYPAL
The WAHS now has a PayPal account for those looking for a more convenient way to donate to our organization. You can find a link to our PayPal on our Facebook page and on our website’s homepage (winonahumanesociety.org) near the bottom.
