If you are thinking about donating to the November 4th , “Affair for the Animals” silent auction, please consider helping us fill up some baskets. We have had some wonderful items already graciously donated. We could use any number of items such as: beer ,wine, nuts, peanuts, chocolates, gourmet candy, sausages, crackers, pretzels , beer glasses, wine glasses ,towels, sports items for kids’ baskets, candles, baby items,Thanksgiving items, pretty napkins, placemats, hand mixer and kitchen utensils …the list can go on… all will help us polish up the baskets. Just think of what you would enjoy seeing in a basket and go from there. Or , if you wish, you can create your own basket and drop it off.
If you want to help out ,but can’t decide, consider a monetary donation to our “Affair for the Animals” silent auction.. Monetary donations allow us to purchase items for the baskets. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your consideration.Your generosity would be greatly appreciated! Bobbi,May, Dede
VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH: SEPTEMBER
This month’s volunteers of the month are Amy Gorton (cat care) and Al Schawe (dog walking).
Amy is a very consistent and reliable cat care volunteer. She has been willing to help out in other areas of volunteering as well. For example, she walked a dog in the Steamboat Days Parade. Her work with the cats shows an obvious deep love for animals and their wellbeing.
Al has been a volunteer for quite some time. He walks dogs several times a week. Additionally, he has always been willing to take any shift that is in-need of covering even on short notice. Like Amy, his volunteer work shows an obvious deep love for the animals. He comes in outside of his dog walking shifts to give the dogs some extra socializing.
Thank you Amy and Al!
Attention WAHS fans, our “I Would Cuddle You So Hard” t-shirts are now on sale for $10.00 each and our wristbands are 50% off. Stop in and stock up for friends, family, or yourself!
Wanted: large, extra large, and extra extra large baskets. Summer is a great time to watch for big baskets at garage sales. We need a lot of these sizes for the WTSA this fall. Please drop off baskets at WAHS during our open hours (Tues to Fri 12-5, Sat 10-2).
